Made it to the Yarra! But not without a good dose of drama for good measure...

I've secretly always wanted to have a run in with Customs just to see what it was like. I never really mean that because honestly it was not really that fun - a little embarrassing really. The photography gear that we were putting through the XRay machine has been put through XRay machines time and time again and for the last 20years, the battery pack for the camera flash has passed with flying colours! Just our luck we get pulled over by some lovely old man wearing blue epellets. Turns out people, that you can't travel with battery packs without a "Material Data Sheet" because if the battery is an LED acid battery it can create fires in the cargo hold of aeroplanes. YIKES!
So if you have documentation to prove that it isn't flammable - you should be fine, but I definitely reccommend checking out online or calling the airlines first to find out. You probably all know this and didn't need to be told, but those of you who don't? You can thank me later =)
I would just love to thank the CBP Officer who was kind enough to ask the airline if they would hold on to it for someone to come back and collect it. Thanks to Qantas being so awesome - we rescued the battery pack!!
