Day One
Not much in the way of stories to tell but after my supremely smooth 2 hr flight (with a perfect landing) I fluffed around finding my rental car and GPSd my way into downtown Queenstown. Losing myself amongst the hustle and bustle of foreign languages and accents and cool funky fashion! Everyone is FOREIGN! Its incredible! I absolutely love it... I sat down with a soy latte and a steak & mushroom pie, smothered in tomatoe sauce - strange combo there, but after the stinginess of Air NZ I needed some good ol' kiwi TUKKA! And, well...i like soy.
Nestled between some beautiful mountains my little "deluxe cabin" and I watch the sun go down over shotover river. Its beautiful here... aside from the road works i can faintly hear, its absolutely gorgeous here. I'm hoping to meet up with my good friend's old uni friends (whom I've never met) on Friday and bop to a live concert of Tiki Taane - love him!
Tomorrow, it begins...*doors glorious doors! I'm anxious to try it!*
